I stayed at the Riverview from July to September 2004, then again in October 2004. I met many foreigners who told me that they come back every year (or otherwise whenever they are in Cambodia). It was an excellent experience. Kaing and Sunny, the husband and wife team who run it, treated me like one of the family. I had the 1 room in the house with air-conditioning. It was spotlessly clean. Everything worked (when it didn't e.g. TV remote control battery dead or air-conditioner switch not working, it was fixed cheerfully and quickly). The position is excellent: next to the river, across from the Mekong River boat terminal, with an inter-city bus terminal and masses of "tuk-tuks" and motorcycles next door (but they only come when the buses are there, so they don't hassle you every time you walk in or out like at some other hotels), so it is easy to go anywhere. There is also a Chinese buffet restaurant around the corner, across from the central Post Office, a Thai restaurant (owned by real Thais) two block
