SIEM REAP is a popular tourist destination because of Angkor Wat, so it has a large number of hotels, guesthouses and restaurants. The popularity of Cambodia’s ancient temples continue to attract more and more people from around the globe who want to explore the rich culture of Cambodia. Responding to the large increase in tourists, the Ancient Angkor, a Khmer-styled Guesthouse, was built in 2003. Initially, there were only 15 fan-rooms which cost between $3 to $10 per night.
