Hug Me! Dolls was created by owner Jet Odrerir in 2001 as a way to share toys that embrace the diversity across cultures, as well as creating job opportunities in this developing nation. The dolls and their clothes are made by local Aid Organizations and local independent trades-people. The computer embroidery and silk-screening is done by local businesses. Every doll sold helps out these organizations and the local economy.

Hug Me! Dolls are handmade in Cambodia. Toys that are meant to be played with, they are made in Cambodia and loved around the world! All of the designs have a look that is true to their heritage. The Hug Me! Doll Company believes in using Fair Trade practices at all levels of business.

Hug Me! Doll Apsaras wear skirts made from handmade Khmer silk. Their golden crowns are embroidered with almost 50,000 stitches! They have elastic gold jewelry and beautiful costuming. Hug Me! Doll clothes have elastic and velcro for easy dress up and are filled with all natural kapok.
