Hug Me! Dolls was created by owner Jet Odrerir in 2001 as a way to share toys that embrace the diversity across cultures, as well as creating job opportunities in this developing nation.
The dolls and their clothes are made by local Aid Organizations and local independent trades-people. The computer embroidery and silk-screening is done by local businesses. Every doll sold helps out these organizations and the local economy.
