No. 54, Street Commailles, Wat Thmey Village, Siem Reap District
Siem Reap,
An hotel unlike the others . The closest accommodation to Angkor Wat, Siem Reap. Pavilion Indochine resort offers you deluxe rooms around the swimming pool and bungalow suites or family suites nestled in a garden.
Really excellent place to stay while in Siem Reap. It is out of town - half way to Angkor Wat. The rooms are comfortable and have good facilities and airconditioning - essential! Food is good - the outdoor bar and restaurant is wonderful place to relax in the evening (you'll want it after a day sightseeing around the temples) and over the road is the Buddhist temple - the Killing Fields Pagoda: certainly worth a visit: I found it very moving. Also nearby - Savong's School - an opportunity to do some volunteer teaching. If you want a great experience and contact with local people, then this is memorable. Most people when they leave Cambodia say they remember most the smiles on the people - and I found that here and at the school. I will certainly go back to Pavillon Indochine - the service and the ambience made this an oasis of calm. That's a good thing to have when you're a westerner encountering a fair amount of culture and climate shock.
